How Asset Templates Work

  1. Asset templates: sets of activities and their relationships which drive the scheduling behavior. Assets must be assigned to a template to be included in a schedule
  2. Production start: determines when type well profile production will begin

  3. Relationships: defines dependencies between activities
  4. Duration: can be generic/flat inputs, calculations or look-ups to attributes for individual asset assumptions. Type an open bracket [ to expose attributes for calculated fields
  5. Delay: offsets between dependent activities
  6. Timing: determines whether activities should be scheduled as soon as possible, or as late as possible (i.e. just in time) without causing dependent activities to be delayed
  7. Grouping: ensures that assets with the same attribute are scheduled in sequence, using the same resource
  8. Resource: required resource type or named resources that must complete the activity
